Configure your NewBook Yield Management extension in four steps after purchase.
After purchasing the Multi-Property Central Dashboard Extension and connecting your NewBook API credentials inside your CloudBookMod account, follow the steps below to complete the setup.
In your CloudBookMod account, go to Yield Management → Room types. The module automatically imports your room type list through the NewBook API. Review the imported types and confirm that each is labelled correctly. If NewBook returns room types with internal codes rather than readable names, you can apply display labels from this section.
Yield Management asks you to indicate the NewBook rate plans it is allowed to modify. Open Yield Management → Rate plans. Your NewBook rate plans appear (imported via the API). Tick the plans you want the module to send recommendations to. As a starting point, only select your BAR (Best Available Rate) — you can extend to other plans once the first recommendations are validated.
Under Yield Management → Settings, configure: Look-ahead window (number of days ahead for which recommendations are generated — 90 days by default); Occupancy thresholds (the occupancy rate at which the module suggests rate increases or decreases — default: increase above 70%, decrease below 40%); Maximum rate delta (maximum change in % per recommendation — 15% by default); Rate floor (the absolute minimum rate the module can recommend per room type — always fill in).
Choose between two push modes: Manual approval — each daily recommendation appears in your dashboard and must be approved before being sent to NewBook. Auto-push — approved recommendations are sent to NewBook automatically, without a daily sign-in. Start with manual approval to verify the recommendation relevance before switching to auto-push.
The Yield Management dashboard shows: today's recommendations (approved, rejected, pending); the rates sent to NewBook; and ADR vs forecast. Review the dashboard weekly during the first month. If recommendations regularly conflict with your pricing judgement, adjust the thresholds from step 3 rather than rejecting recommendations one by one.
