Cookie Policy

Effective from: 11 August 2026. This Cookie Policy describes the categories of cookies and similar tracking technologies used on the website cloudbookmod.org operated by CloudBookModMod Pty Ltd (ABN 82 743 951 268), the purposes for which each category is used, how long each cookie remains on your device, and how you can manage your preferences. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on the browser of the device you use to visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognise your browser during your current visit, and often on subsequent visits, in order to provide functionality that would otherwise not be possible in the stateless request-response model of the World Wide Web. Cookies can be classified according to who sets them (first-party cookies set by the site you are visiting, or third-party cookies set by another domain), according to their duration (session cookies expiring when you close the browser, or persistent cookies remaining until an expiry date), and according to their purpose (strictly necessary, functional, analytics or advertising).

In addition to cookies in the strict sense, similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags can achieve comparable effects. Where such technologies are used on cloudbookmod.org, they are covered by this policy in the same way as cookies.

2. Categories of cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the operation of the shop and the Client Area. Without these cookies you would not be able to add items to your basket, sign in through the passwordless magic-link workflow, or submit forms protected by cross-site-request-forgery tokens. Because they are indispensable to the service you have requested, strictly necessary cookies are set without prior consent, in accordance with the ordinary operation of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Blocking or deleting these cookies will break the Client Area and the shopping cart.

2.2 Functional cookies

Functional cookies remember choices you make to enhance your experience on cloudbookmod.org, such as your preferred language, your colour theme (light or dark) and the open or collapsed state of the cart drawer. Functional cookies do not track your activity across other sites and do not identify you personally. They are set with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by clearing your browser cookies or by adjusting the cookie preferences banner in your Client Area.

2.3 Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies are used exclusively to compile aggregated, non-identifying statistics about how visitors interact with cloudbookmod.org, such as which pages are most visited, how long visitors remain on each page, and which links they follow. We operate a self-hosted analytics stack on infrastructure that we control; we do not transmit analytics data to third-party advertising platforms. Analytics cookies are set only where you have consented through the cookie preferences banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

2.4 Advertising cookies

We do not use advertising cookies. cloudbookmod.org does not display third-party advertisements, does not participate in advertising exchanges and does not enrich user profiles with data purchased from external data brokers. We do not use cookies to build a marketing profile about you.

3. Detailed list of cookies

The following table lists the cookies and similar identifiers set by cloudbookmod.org.

4. Managing cookies in your browser

You can accept, block or delete cookies at any time through the settings of your browser. The steps differ from one browser to another; the most common are summarised below.

4.1 Google Chrome

Open the menu at the top right of the browser, choose Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies. From that screen you can block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or allow all cookies. You can also click See all site data and permissions, search for cloudbookmod.org and remove data specifically for our site. Detailed instructions are published by Google on the Chrome Help pages.

4.2 Mozilla Firefox

Open the menu at the top right of the browser, choose Settings, then Privacy & Security. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Manage Data to view stored cookies and clear those for individual sites, or click Clear Data to remove them all. You can also select a stricter default level under Enhanced Tracking Protection.

4.3 Apple Safari

On macOS, open Safari then choose Settings from the Safari menu, click the Privacy tab, and either tick Block all cookies or click Manage Website Data to remove cookies for cloudbookmod.org specifically. On iOS or iPadOS, open the Settings app, tap Safari, then use Block All Cookies or Clear History and Website Data.

4.4 Microsoft Edge

Open the menu at the top right of the browser, choose Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data. From that screen you can block all cookies, block third-party cookies, allow all cookies, or manage stored data on a site-by-site basis, including for cloudbookmod.org.

5. Consequences of blocking cookies

You may block or delete cookies at any time, but doing so will have consequences on your experience of cloudbookmod.org. Blocking strictly necessary cookies (cb_session, cb_csrf, cb_cart, cb_consent) will prevent the Client Area from operating: you will not be able to sign in, place an order or manage your Subscriptions. Blocking functional cookies will not prevent you from using the site but will require you to reselect your language and theme preferences at every visit. Blocking analytics cookies has no visible effect on your experience; it simply removes your visit from our aggregated statistics.

6. Consent management

On your first visit to cloudbookmod.org and at intervals of no more than twelve months thereafter, we present a cookie preferences banner that allows you to accept or refuse each non-essential category of cookies. Your choices are stored in the cb_consent cookie and are honoured server-side. You may revisit your choices at any time by clicking the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page. Refusing non-essential cookies does not affect the operation of the shop or the Client Area.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers transmit a Do Not Track (DNT) header or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal indicating that the visitor does not wish to be tracked. Where cloudbookmod.org receives such a signal, we treat it as an opt-out for analytics cookies at the level of the current browser, and we do not present the analytics option in the cookie preferences banner during that visit.

8. Relationship with the Privacy Policy

This Cookie Policy should be read together with the CloudBookMod Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy describes in detail how any personal information collected through cookies is handled, the periods for which it is retained, the categories of recipients to whom it is disclosed, and the rights available to you under the Australian Privacy Principles, including the rights of access and correction. Where there is any inconsistency between the two documents in relation to cookies, this Cookie Policy prevails to the extent of the inconsistency.

9. Changes to this policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the technologies used on cloudbookmod.org, changes in applicable law, or changes in industry guidance. The current version and its effective date are always accessible at cloudbookmod.org/cookies. Material changes are notified through a banner at the top of the site for at least thirty (30) days after they come into force.
